A third-generation real estate entrepreneur, Marie Dupres actually attended medical school for a few semesters before pursuing a master’s degree in education and finally coming back to her roots. She has fond memories of visiting construction sites with her grandfather, a builder, and working with her father, an investor and landlord. “I got my real estate license with the intention of continuing to teach, but ended up spending more time on real estate,” Dupres recalls. “Learning how to listen and coach my clients is definitely a result of being a teacher.”
A veteran Realtor of 15 years, Dupres guides each client with compassion, communication and a knack for finding solutions to even the toughest of roadblocks. She specializes in luxury homes, investment properties and new-construction builds in West Memorial, Spring Branch, Houston Heights and Katy. She has personally built, rented, developed, renovated, bought and sold homes in these areas. “I came into this profession with a lot of personal experience and can relate to my clients,” she adds. “I treat them the way I would want to be treated.” Dupres leads with transparency, arming her clients with the information they need to make the right decisions for their family.
Born and raised in Canada, Dupres relocated to Houston in 2004. Fittingly, she works with buyers from all over the world — or just down the street — who are also looking to find their place in Houston. She’s been involved in her community as a board member of her Civic Association and chairperson of the Architectural Committee. She is an international travel enthusiast and loves curling up with a good book.
“Being a mom, wife, daughter, friend, volunteer and full-time Realtor is challenging,” she admits. Always available to her clients, she makes sure to set aside quality time with family and friends. “I eat, breathe and sleep real estate,” she confesses. “It is not only my job, but my passion and hobby.”
